TheDivision of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of Marylandis recruiting an additional attending physician at an Assistant / Associate Professorlevel appointed by the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Applicantsshould have a strong record of academic excellence with an interest teachingand in clinical research. The ideal candidate should be several years out offellowship. The Division will includesix full time attending physicians four ACGME approved fellows with approvedtransition to both the Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency and theIndependent Interventional Radiology Residency residents nurse practitionersand physicians assistants. The faculty staffs three hospitals including theUniversity of Maryland Medical Center and a freestanding outpatient range of procedures offered is broad including but not limited to venousand arterial interventions all manner of oncologic hepatobiliary urologicmesenteric pediatric and trauma interventions dialysis care as well as venousand enteric access. The Division has undergone a complete replacement of allinterventional imaging equipment. The three dedicated body interventional roomsat the University are two Siemens Zeego units and a Toshiba Hybrid Angio/CTroom two additional Biplane Siemens suites are shared. The Division maintainsa research coordinator and currently leads or participates in numerousexternally sponsored research trials as well as defining internally fundedprojects. The educational program includes dedicated teaching of residents andfellows through casebased and didactic and handson means as well as journal clubs.
