QA/Test Manager 3 Quality Assurance (QA) and Testing

Pay Rate:$88.00 per hour
Start Date:05/27/2025
End Date: 08/31/2025
Location:Austin Texas 78751 (On Site)
Working Hours:Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (excluding State holidays)
Position Summary:
Under the general direction of an Operations Manager the QA/Test Manager is responsible for leading the testing team and ensuring the projects success. This role involves quality and test advocacy resource planning and management and resolving issues that impede the testing effort.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop execute and maintain test scripts for both automated and manual testing of EHR applications.
- Prepare UAT test cases aligned with business requirements and conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders.
- Track test case and provide reporting.
- Write and execute test cases create test plans and manage the testing process.
- Generate manual and automated test scripts to support business requirements.
- Utilize various testing tools such as UFT ALM and JIRA.
- Write complex SQL queries and perform database validation.
- Conduct different types of testing (unit integration regression smoke user acceptance system stress and load/performance).
- Collaborate with stakeholders IT teams and project managers to ensure smooth implementation of EHR.
- Mentor and train QA team members on EHR testing methodologies and best practices.
- Develop detailed test cases covering various scenarios and user roles within the EHR system.
- Create metrics to measure application quality and defect tracking.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications:
- 9 years of experience in writing and executing test cases creating test plans and managing the testing process.
- Knowledge of SAAS product testing software usability concepts and software development lifecycle.
- Strong QA automation testing and scripting experience using UFT.
- Proficient in defect tracking and management using tools such as ALM and JIRA.
- Experience in writing/testing scripts in electronic medical records practice management clinical interface and billing workflows within an EHR application.
- Ability to generate manual and automated test scripts to support business requirements.
- Experience in conducting API testing and automation (preferred).
- Knowledge and experience working on HL7 FHIR (preferred).
- Knowledge of objectoriented programming (preferred).
- Experience in load/performance testing (preferred).
- Experience working in a state agency (preferred).
