Job Description
Job Title: General Labor Shop Hand
Location: Decatur TX
Pay: $16/hour
Schedule: MondayFriday 8 AM 5 PM
Job Overview:
We are seeking a physically fit General Labor Shop Hand to join our team in Decatur. This role involves maintaining cleanliness assisting with shop operations handling tools managing inventory and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely. A good driving record is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with setting up and operating machines tools and equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shop.
Prepare and stage materials and supplies for projects.
Handle and store tools equipment and raw materials safely.
Assist with loading and unloading shipments.
Perform basic maintenance and repairs on equipment.
Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
Keep work areas tidy store tools properly and dispose of waste correctly.
Help with assembly and disassembly of parts or products.
Track inventory and assist with stock replenishment.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a shop warehouse or laborintensive role is a plus.
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
Basic knowledge of shop tools machinery and safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
Working Conditions:
Work in a noisy physically demanding environment.
Exposure to various chemicals or materials.
Regular use of personal protective equipment (gloves goggles ear protection).
