Schedule: Seasonal assignment for a minimum of 13 weeks

What Youll Do:
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Prepare and assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
Operate and troubleshoot Cath Lab equipment.
Ensure patient safety and provide excellent care during procedures.
Collaborate with cardiologists RNs and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate records and comply with all safety and quality protocols.
What Youll Need:
Minimum of one 1 of the following required:
AART Certification in Radiology (R)
RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)
2 years of experience as an interventional tech in any in one 1 of the following required:
Cath Lab
Electrophysiology Lab
Interventional Radiology
Structural Heart/Hybrid OR
Must be independently competent and work as assigned in at 2 of the following areas required:
Cath Lab
EP Lab
Interventional Radiology
Structural Heart/Hybrid OR
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology (required).
AART Certification in Radiology (R) (required).
Current Montana Radiologic Technology License (required).
BLS and ACLS certification.
Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently in highpressure situations.
Excellent communication organization and critical thinking skills.
Teamoriented mindset with a passion for patient care.
NicetoHave:
One or more of the following is preferred but not required:
1 year(s) of experience in Interventional Cardiology.
1 year(s) of experience in Interventional Radiology.
1 year(s) of experience in Radiology.
One or more of the following certifications is preferred but not required:

Qualifications:
Minimum of one 1 of the following required:
AART Certification in Radiology (R)
RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)
BLS required.
ACLS required.
Minimum of two 2 years experience as an interventional tech in any in one 1 of the below required:
Cath Lab
Electrophysiology Lab
Interventional Radiology
Structural Heart/Hybrid OR
Must be independently competent and work as assigned in at least two 2 of the following areas:

EP Lab
Interventional Radiology

Excellent organizational skills detailoriented a selfstarter possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
Job Specific Duties:
Reviews patient history and responds to patients response to diagnostic and/or interventional procedures per department procedures.
Provides patient care in lab as directed by the physician. Assists with procedures performed by vascular surgeons interventional cardiologists electrophysiologist and/or radiologists.
Performs technical support before during and post procedure based on LH policy ASRT Practice Standards and/or Montana Code.
Operates and maintains all diagnostic and therapeutic equipment utilized for procedures per scope of practice vendor specifications and guidelines.
Monitors patients during procedures per scope of practice.
Assists with maintenance of inventory for assigned area(s).
Sets up procedure trays prior to procedure start. Participates and/or coordinates patient care and flow.
Exhibits proper safety as appropriate to the area and ensures radiation safety for all who enter the room per scope of practice.
Reports all malfunctioning equipment and/or errors and documents all safety related issues and outcomes per department procedure and protocol.
Participates in developing and updating procedures and protocols.
Maintains accountability to technologist competency and quality control standards.
Actively continues education and stays abreast of current technology and trends in the interventional cardiology and/or interventional radiology field.
Senior technicians serve as subject matter experts and are responsible for supporting the development of technicians within their department playing a key role in ensuring efficient operation of process and patient satisfaction.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
