Qualifications
Masters Degree in higher education or a field of study that enhances the individuals ability to assist atrisk students in an academic environment required. At least four years of professional experience working with college students in academic advising academic support programs or other related fields. Must possess knowledge in effective learning strategies assessment tools motivational techniques and study skills development. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment process confidential information with discretion and adhere to FERPA guidelines. Capacity and desire to interact with individuals of varying social cultural economic and educational backgrounds. Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team and to maintain positive professional relationships. Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities and possess outstanding written and oral communication skills. Strong quantitative and analytical skills and comfort level with appropriate technologies (e.g. Microsoft Excel). Excellent conflict resolution skills and ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to gather and synthesize information from a variety of sources to make knowledgeable recommendations to best serve the students. This position requires a flexible work schedule including early mornings late evenings and/or occasional weekends to support extended student services.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working as part of a case management support team preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of online student tracking systems and database management.
