Mnchen DEWe looking for a Junior Video Editor (All genders welcome! to join our team in Munich!
Junior Video Editors support the entire postproduction operation by being the first set of eyes and hands on media after production. Junior Video Editors work primarily on social first formats for various editorial social teams and play a critical role in ensuring the needed output is being met. Doing translations from English to German and incorporating subtitles into the edits is a key component of the job. People in this role are quick thinkers problem solvers team oriented and incredibly meticulous and organized. Junior Video Editors work closely with the larger group of internal and external editors the CNE Social Media and production teams and report to the Head of Video in Munich.
Primary Responsibilities:
Edit socialfirst video formats for various editorial social teams ensuring content aligns with brand guidelines and audience expectations.
Translate Englishlanguage videos into German incorporating accurate subtitles and ensuring cultural and linguistic nuances are maintained.
Collect and organize media assets from Production & Social teams ensuring all files are properly labeled tagged and stored.
Import and prepare all project assets in Adobe Premiere After Effects and other postproduction software.
Assemble rough cuts apply basic color correction and adjust audio levels for consistency and clarity.
Implement feedback from the Head of Video and editorial teams to refine edits and enhance storytelling.
Assist in quality control by reviewing media flagging production issues and ensuring final videos meet platform specifications.
Export and deliver final edits in various formats optimized for Instagram TikTok YouTube Shorts and other platforms.
Maintain project organization and workflow efficiency by using proper naming conventions templates and folder structures.
Occasionally assist with sourcing additional assets (e.g. archive footage brand elements) and integrating them into edits.
Stay up to date with social media video trends and suggest creative approaches to enhance content performance.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of postproduction experience including work as an Assistant Editor preferably with digital content
Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite and MAM / other postproduction technologies and software like DaVinci Resolve
Strong commitment to thoroughness and detail as well as an aptitude for organizing and labeling media content for a Post Production facility
Must be extremely knowledgeable with technology including comprehensive understanding of media codecs bit rates aspect ratios color spaces compression and finishing processes (color/mix prep/conform/QC/delivery)
Proficiency with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office Suite required
Proficient knowledge of the main broadcast and digital video and audio formats
Work independently and with teams able to decipher problems and create solutions; able to complete tasks with minimal guidance if necessary
Adept at determining priorities and able to hit deadlines under pressure; ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a deadlinedriven environment
Must exhibit strong written and verbal skills in German and English.
Communicate well and be flexible with other departments
