Job Responsibilities
Assist with repair and preventative maintenance of stamping dies fixtures and tooling used in production.
Support die setup disassembly and reassembly for inspection cleaning or modifications.
Interpret mechanical drawings blueprints and schematics to support tooling and fixture fabrication or improvement efforts.
Observe and assist in troubleshooting tooling issues and equipment malfunctions alongside experienced technicians.
Assist in documenting tooling conditions adjustments and maintenance performed using internal tracking systems.
Participate in tooling trials or production runs to verify die functionality and part quality.
Adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures in all shop and production areas.
Maintain clean organized work areas and assist with general departmental support.
Skills & Requirements
Currently pursuing an associate degree technical certificate or bachelors degree in Tool & Die Technology Advanced Manufacturing Industrial Technology Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Completion of basic coursework in machining mechanical drawing or manufacturing processes preferred.
Expected to graduate in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 with potential to convert to full time offer at end of program.
Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tooling principles.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Familiarity with standard machine shop tools and measurement devices (e.g. calipers micrometers).
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a handson environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
Working Conditions
Manufacturing shop environment with exposure to machinery noise and dust.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.
Requires standing bending and working in various physical positions throughout the shift.
