Position Summary:
This Safety Coordinator Intern position is to support the Safety Team in completing necessary procedures such as LOTO procedures and JHAs.
Ideal candidate:
- Local to the Northwest Indiana area. Relocation or housing isnotprovided for this internship.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship isnotprovided for this internship.
- Internship Duration is May 19 2025 to August 15 2025
Responsibilities
- Compile all data to complete LOTO procedures.
- Develop LOTO procedures for review.
- Perform LOTO reviews with authorized employees.
- Review all existing JHAs for accuracy and make necessary changes.
- Compile all data on all routine tasks.
- Develop JHAs as per company standards.
Qualifications
- In process of attaining a Bachelors Degree in Environment Health and Safety or similar discipline.
- Completion of 2 years of degree (Junior or Senior)
- Ability to use all Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of CFR 1910.147
- Abiltiy to observe and determine proper PPE for specific tasks.
- Knowledge of CFR 1910.132140 and all subparts for this standard.
Pay Rate*:$20.00/hour
*The salary offered to a candidate isbased on several factors includingbut not limited tothecandidates skills jobrelated knowledge and relevant experience as well as internal pay equity.
