We are looking for an engineer to join the World of Warcraft Engine team and help shape the future of Azeroth. As a key contributor you will be working with a team focused on the vision of improving World of Warcrafts graphics and engine technology. Our team is highly collaborative and you will work directly with artists designers and fellow software engineers as you help maintain key engine systems.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position with onsite and workfromhome. The home studio for this role is Boston MA.
Responsbilties
Design and implementation of new core engine functionality.
Maintain the engine systems for performance stability and errorfree operation.
Work closely with the art department to help them achieve their artistic vision.
Mentor and guide engineers at all levels.
Participate in and contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture.
Requirements
Experience writing/maintaining model animation systems.
Strong mathematics skills including proficiency with trigonometry and linear algebra.
Fluency in C/C multithreading and memory systems.
Understanding of scene management lowlevel systems programming and a deep understanding of
performance optimization.
Experience shipping game titles with significant contributions to the engine.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Plusses
Experience with code and data optimization.
Experience with multithreaded programming.
Experience debugging across a variety of hardware configurations.

These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately your specific range and offer will be based on several factors including relevant experience performance and work location. In addition to a competitive base pay employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
