About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Core Engineering team you will contribute directly to significant components of AppOmnis SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) platform. In collaboration with technical leadership you will be responsible for designing and developing significant areas of the codebase that support security monitoring and management of SaaS platforms and remediation workflows to help customers improve their security posture.
This position in a rapidly growing security engineering company is an opportunity to take ownership of significant engineering decisions and implement technology that will improve the security of not only enterprise SaaS deployments but also their customers and endusers.
Your work will directly and meaningfully impact securing our customers and their datawhich may include your data! These are challenging engineering problems in an exciting part of the security industry without defined solutions. Successful candidates will have a record of solid problemsolving skills the ability to think creatively and topnotch engineering skills.
What Youll Do:
As a Senior Software Engineer on our Core Engineering team you will collaborate closely with technical leadership to design and develop critical components of AppOmnis SSPM platform. Specifically you will:
- Own and lead the implementation of critical areas of our codebase that support monitoring and managing security for major SaaS platforms.
- Develop new components and feature sets to help customers enhance their security posture.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to solve complex challenges in a dynamic and evolving security landscape.
- Impact the security of some of the largest SaaS deployments in the world as well as their customers and endusers.
What Were Looking For:
- 7 years of handson experience in backend development using Python (or similar OOP)
- 3 years of experience with ORMs (preferred Postgres)
- 10 years of software engineering experience focusing on objectoriented design data structures and working on abstracted codebases.
- Experience with ETL and streaming technologies
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerization
- Experience integrating external APIs and designing elegant solutions for large enterprisescale systems.
- Strong interest in data security and protecting sensitive information.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience with Dagster or Airtable
- Experience with GKE
- Experience with observability systems
- Experience with timeseriesbased database
- Experience with Cloud computing toolsets IaC DevOps experience
- Experience deploying and maintaining production applications on IaaS platforms.
- Prior experience in Application Product or Enterprise Security.

Our total rewards package includes the following:
- Base Salary: The annual base salary compensation range in the U.S. for this role is $175000 $225000. Final offer amounts are determined by factors such as the final candidates skills qualifications and experience as well as business considerations and peer compensation.
