About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to play a critical role in delivering a high-quality efficient data environment that supports key Financial Operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in designing and maintaining data pipelines data warehouses and data lakes to ensure data integrity and enable valuable business insights.
This role will be responsible for building scalable data infrastructure working cross-functionally with analysts architects and business stakeholders and advocating for best practices in data governance and security. Youll also support financial reporting and operational decision-making by developing efficient ETL workflows and intuitive data models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce robust master data governance practices to ensure data accuracy consistency and compliance across financial systems.
- Design and implement ETL pipelines and workflows that aggregate cleanse and transform data from various sources.
- Document technical processes workflows and data mapping standards to facilitate consistent usage and easy maintenance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver scalable data-driven solutions.
- Ensure data integrity by applying validation and reconciliation protocols throughout the data lifecycle.
- Develop dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau Power BI OBIEE SSRS and others.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies for data warehouse platforms cloud services and reporting solutions.
- Support financial teams with data access visualization and decision-support tools.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related field required
- Masters degree preferred
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) a plus
Experience:
- 10 years of experience in data engineering data architecture or similar roles with a background in finance IT or data governance
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills; Python proficiency preferred
- Experience with large-scale data warehousing environments including cloud-based solutions
- Familiarity with Oracle EBS and OBIEE environments is highly desirable
Skills:
- Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- High attention to detail and commitment to data quality and security best practices
Tools & Technologies:
- SQL / PL-SQL
- Python
- Tableau Power BI OBIEE SSRS
- Oracle EBS ecosystem
- Cloud-based data warehouse platforms (e.g. AWS Redshift Snowflake Azure Synapse)
