Hogan Lovells US LLP is searching for a patent prosecution associate who is excited to work on cuttingedge technology for the worlds top tech companies. The right candidate will be as comfortable working on rocket engines and satellite technology as they are working on the next generation of neural networks automation and robotics. We are looking for someone with the technical chops to be able to discuss details with engineers and developers but also the confidence to interact with wellknown giants in the tech world. The position will involve a significant amount of direct partner and client interaction and unique opportunities that come from working for a truly global law firm. We do not micromanage if you make the cut that means we trust you to handle the job and will give you every opportunity to step up and run with it.
This position will primarily involve prosecution and patent counseling but will also have opportunity to support various other types of related legal work. The ideal candidate is a junior to midlevel patent prosecution and counseling associate with at least 2 years of experience preferably in our San Francisco Silicon Valley Houston or Washington D.C. offices. Applicants must have a degree in electrical engineering computer engineering applied physics computer science or equivalent experience and a law degree from an ABAaccredited law school. U.S. bar membership and registration to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office is also required.
Compensation for this role will be topofmarket with an annualized salary range of $235000 to $390000 for associates depending on the candidates overall experience and other jobrelated factors permitted by law. This position may be eligible for a discretionary or an hoursbased bonus consistent with market practice. In addition this position will be eligible for the firms fringe benefits as they currently exist.
