Job Summary
The Finance Risk Analyst at thyssenkrupp Materials plays a crucial role in identifying and mitigating potential market risks within our portfolio. This is a highly analytical and detailoriented individual with a strong understanding of commodity markets and risk management principles. Key Accountabilities:
- Ensures appropriate application of accounting policies (mark to market) and procedures in accordance with the relevant statutory and thyssenkrupp Group policies and procedures
- Partners closely with the Head of Base Metals Trading and various other internal and external stakeholders to make recommendations
- Participates with hands on responsibility in monthly quarterly and annual closings and financial reporting and performance of the division customer and supplier account reconciliations and other reporting as required
- Monitors financial instruments such as futures forwards and swaps expiry dates and positions for the Metals Industry
- Conducts regular risk assessments and provides insights on potential market risks within the commodities portfolio
- Develops and implements risk management strategies to mitigate potential market risks
- Monitors and analyzes commodity market trends including supply and demand factors geopolitical events and regulatory changes
- Collaborates with traders and other team members to identify and evaluate potential trading opportunities and associated risks
- Maintains accurate and uptodate records of risk management activities and reports

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience
- 3 years experience in Finance/Accounting
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
JobSpecific Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Experience in accounting commerce and business gained either locally or abroad
- Significant financial and analytical skills within a commercial environment preferably gained within a larger group with international exposure
- Experience in Base Metals Trading Commodity Hedging LME/CME risk management and mark to market reporting is preferred
- Proficient in MS Office especially Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail with a focus on teamwork
- Comfortable in a fast pace environment and display a high level of enthusiasm to contribute to the team and overall performance of the company
RoleSpecific Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of general processes and practices related to the position.
- Skilled in verbal/written communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to take initiative and achieve results.
- Able for accurately assess research and analyze information to make sound decisions.
