We currently have 3 fantastic opportunities available as a Laboratory Scientist in Microbiology to join our Science and Water Qualityteam working in Exeter. You will join us on a fulltime permanentbasis and in return you will receive a competitive salary from26050 to 32724 per annum plus additional payments for weekend working excellent benefits and rewards.
We offer a multistage progression scheme for development in line with business needs progression through levels is associated with salary increases appropriate to the level of skill and responsibility.
About the role:
As our Laboratory Scientist you will beusing your methodical excellent attention to detail skills blended with analytical expertise to undertake the scientific analysis of samples associated with the companys activities and commercial contracts. You will be part of a working environment where you will be taking ownership and responsibility for your own workload and working collaboratively as a team player. This role requires you to be flexible around workload and rota patterns as well as being able to demonstrate your ability to remain calm under pressure and provide an efficient service. If you thrive on challenge and are looking to develop your skills this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Shift Patterns:
Working of average 37 hoursper week the role requires working on a rota pattern specific to the department including weekends and bank holidays. Working hours are typically 9:00 to 18:15 each day. However some flexibility is required to ensure essential analysis is completed by day end. Enhancements are paid for weekend/bank holiday working.
Once fully trained you will participate in standby rota.
