Job Description
Pond is recruiting a selfmotivated individual to serve as our Senior Project Manager in our Jacksonville Florida office. Our Transportation team currently provides multidisciplined design and designrelated services to State and Municipal clients. This is a leadership position within our firm that will manage both Operations and Business Development for our roadway practice in Florida. This position will also work as an integral part of our entire Transportation team to achieve overall goals. The appropriately qualified candidate will be able to demonstrate previous success in the pursuit and delivery of transportation projects proven leadership skills and a strong work ethic. Marketing/Project Pursuits
- Actively lead pursuits in concert with the overall Transportation team Pond Leadership and our Marketing team
- Have Go/NoGo authority on pursuits for Operations in conjunction with our Marketing team
- Assess strategic hires for better positioning in pursuit phase
- Actively engage DOT and other clients to assess develop and align service offering to be a leader for transportation design services
Operational Responsibilities
- Responsible for day to day operations and overall resource management and financial metrics for the FL Transportation Practice
- Responsible to work with Project Managers and Design Team for day to day decisions on resource allocation staffing and project budgets
- Responsible for assessment of resources and effectiveness to meet current and future needs
- Review and approve of new hires
- Responsible for training mentoring and professional development of direct reports
Technical Responsibilities
- Function as Sr. Design Manager and/or Sr. Project Manager as needed to win opportunities achieve technical results and desired client outcomes
- Oversee and actively manage the roadway practice Quality Assurance Program
- Assist the Transportation practice in branding Pond as an industry recognized technical expert
Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering
- 15 20 years of transportation/roadwayand drainage design experience is preferred.
- Professional Engineer P.E. certification is required
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering principles practices and techniques.
- Ability to demonstrate strong organizational project and time management skills.
- Ability to build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships.
