Job Description


Summary

Reviews moderately complex/specialty claims and processes refunds including settlement of monies.


Description

Logistics:

This is a full time 40 HPW) position. Our ideal candidate will be required to work onsite at our Columbia SC location.

What You Will Do:

  • Research claims history to identify and/or verify moderately complex claims to be adjusted for refunds.

  • Update claims systems to ensure that the refund process will be completed.

  • Adjust claims history to reflect refunded amounts.

  • Complete action requests for priority claims.

  • Respond accurately and timely to inquiries from internal and external customers.

  • Assists with reports that ensure claims are processing and refunds are settled according to guidelines and requirements.

  • Responds to internal quality audits.

To Qualify We Will Require:

  • Required Experience: 1 year of related claims experience PLUS 2 years of experience in the recouping and/or refunding of claims.

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Strong communication analytical and organizational and basic math skills.

  • Required Software and Other Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.

We Would Prefer You to Have:

  • Preferred Work Experience:1 year of prior experience working with FEP (Federal Employee Programs).

  • Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
