Spectrolab Inc.Spectrolab Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Companys Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) business unit has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic team in Sylmar California.
Spectrolab is the worlds leading merchant supplier of the highest efficiency multijunction solar cells for spacecraft power systems with proven reliability drawn from 65 years of space heritage. Spectrolabs stateoftheart space solar cells and panels power satellites in Earths orbit as well as the International Space Station.
Position Responsibilities:
Repairs and maintains equipment and demonstrates experience in these areas
Develops and monitors preventative maintenance plans
Performs complex troubleshooting analysis inspection disassembly rebuild modification and testing of factory machinery and equipment as necessary using knowledge in areas such as mechanics hydraulics and pneumatics
Works with electrical systems and electronic components of complex industrial machinery and equipment following manuals schematic diagrams blueprints and other specifications
Responds to and provides guidance related to routine and complex requests for equipment repair
Maintains and manages component and replacement part inventories
Follows safety procedures and regulations
Interprets schematics and diagrams
Works under Minimal supervision
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
High School Diploma or GED
1 years experience in maintaining electrical electronics laser or hydraulic equipment preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD) reactors
Experience in vacuum system maintenance
Experience carrying out maintenance procedures while wearing SCBA supplied air protective equipment
Electrical knowledge and component level diagnostics
Experience in maintenance or repair of industrial equipment (semiconductor processing thermal chambers automated handling robotic equipment etc.
Ability to create or maintain a periodic maintenance program in a production environment
