HR Employer Solutions Group is a trusted healthcare staffing agency connecting skilled professionals with quality healthcare facilities. We are currently seeking a detailoriented and dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our partner hospital in Hollywood FL.
Position Summary:
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination sterilization inspection and assembly of surgical instruments and medical equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring patient safety and supporting clinical teams with properly prepared instruments and supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate and sterilize surgical instruments and trays according to established protocols.
- Assemble and inspect instruments for cleanliness and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and inventory.
- Operate sterilization equipment including autoclaves and ultrasonic washers.
- Distribute sterile and nonsterile supplies to surgical suites and patient care areas.
- Adhere to infection control and hospital safety standards at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CBSPD or CRCST) preferred or in progress.
- Previous experience in a sterile processing or central supply department preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a sterile environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced teamoriented setting.
