Job Opportunity: Sr. Director of Acute Care Services
Location: Northwest Montana (approximately 2 hours from Kalispell and Glacier National Park)
Job Type: Fulltime
Schedule: Day shift with variable hours to support both day and night shift staff
Salary: $116000 – $145000 per year
SignOn Bonus: $30000
Open to: Experienced leaders and new graduate RNs
Position Overview:
A midsized healthcare facility in beautiful Northwest Montana is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Acute Care Services to lead key nursing departments. This leadership role reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and is responsible for clinical oversight quality improvement team leadership and financial performance across multiple units.
As the Acute Care Director you’ll oversee ICU/PCU MedicalSurgical and Rehab Nursing Units. You’ll serve as a role model mentor and key member of the leadership team contributing to strategic planning and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 24/7 leadership and management of acute care units
Guide support and develop nursing staff
Ensure highquality patient outcomes and compliance with hospital policies
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve care delivery
Serve as a liaison between departments physicians and executive leadership
Qualifications:
Education & Licensure:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
Master’s degree in Nursing Business or Leadership/Management preferred
Active RN license in Montana (or ability to obtain)
ACLS BLS for Healthcare Providers required within 3 months of hire
ONS certification preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in an acute care clinical leadership role 5 years preferred)
Prior experience as a Unit Director strongly preferred
At least 2 years of bedside RN experience in Med/Surg or ICU
Proven success in working collaboratively with physicians and leading process improvement initiatives
Comfortable leading teams with a range of experience including new graduate RNs
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
