Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join a prestigious luxury hotel group based in Zanzibar. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to lead a dynamic kitchen team in a worldclass island setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all kitchen operations ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in food preparation and presentation
Lead train and inspire a team of chefs and kitchen staff to deliver high standards of culinary excellence
Design and update menus with a focus on creativity seasonality and guest satisfaction
Maintain excellent standards of hygiene health and safety across all kitchen areas
Manage kitchen budgets food costs stock levels and supplier relationships
Collaborate with other departments to deliver seamless guest experiences
Monitor performance and ensure compliance with all hotel policies and procedures
Handle administrative tasks including scheduling ordering and reporting
Requirements:
Formal culinary qualification from a recognised institution
Minimum 5 years experience in a senior chef role preferably within a luxury hotel or resort environment
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a highpressure setting
Excellent knowledge of international cuisines and modern culinary techniques
Strong organisational leadership and communication skills
Attention to detail and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
Previous experience working in remote or international locations is advantageous
