Job Description

Adelphi is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist to provide services to students in a school disctrict in Olean New York. The Speech and Language Pathologist will be responsible for providing services to eligible special education students within the school district. The ideal candidate will have a current active SpeechLanguage Pathology Missouri License.

Requirements:
Masters degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology from an accredited institution
Current active New York State Board License in SpeechLanguage Pathology
Minimum of one year of experience in a school setting is preferred
Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and compliance requirements

Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech therapy to children with disabilities (ages 321 in Early Childhood and K12 Special Education Programs as specified in their IEPs.
Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to assess students developmental and communicative needs
Participate in IEP meetings multidisciplinary team evaluations and collaborative planning sessions with educational staff and families
Maintain accurate including evaluation reports progress notes Medicaid billing forms and service delivery logs as required by the school district
Provide input and guidance on assistive technology and speechrelated classroom accommodations
Collaborate with teachers aides school psychologists parents and other service providers to align therapeutic goals with educational programming
Offer training to teachers paraprofessionals and staff on speech and language development strategies and communication supports
Participate in diagnostic evaluations staff meetings and IEP development
Deliver services in a variety of settings including classrooms therapy rooms and homebound environments as necessary
Submit quarterly progress reports and other required documentation in a timely manner
Adhere to all applicable state and federal regulations including NYS licensure requirements confidentiality laws and ethical standards of practice
Other duties as assigned by administration.
