Adelphi is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide services to students in a school district in Olean New York. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for providing services to eligible special education students within the school district. The ideal candidate will have a current active Physical Therapy New York License.

Requirements:
Master s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
Current active New York State Board License as a Physical Therapist
Minimum of one year of experience in a school setting is preferred
Knowledge of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and compliance requirements
Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to children with disabilities (ages 321 in Early Childhood and K12 Special Education Programs as specified in their IEPs
Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess students mobility strength coordination and functional independence
Participate in IEP meetings multidisciplinary team evaluations and collaborative planning sessions with educational staff and families
Maintain accurate documentation including evaluation reports progress notes Medicaid billing forms and service delivery logs as required by the School District
Provide recommendations on adaptive equipment assistive technology and environmental modifications to support student mobility and participation
Collaborate with teachersaides school psychologists parents and other service providers to align therapeutic goals with educational programming
Provide training and support to school staff including paraprofessionals regarding implementation of therapy strategies positioning and communication supports
Participate in diagnostic evaluations staff meetings and IEP development
Deliver services in a variety of settings including classrooms therapy rooms and homebound environments as necessary
Submit quarterly progress reports and other required documentation in a timely manner
Adhere to all applicable state and federal regulations including NYS licensure requirements confidentiality laws and ethical standards of practice
Other duties as assigned by administration.
