Job Description

Were supporting a fantastic and leading firm of chartered accountants based in Tunbridge Wells in their recruitment for an Audit and Accounts Senior. Our client boasts an incredible working environment with a very experienced and friendly team. They have seen excellent growth over the last 5 years and are now looking to recruit an additional Audit and Accounts Senior into their team. 2550 audit)

You will be exposed to a wide range of businesses from large corporates through to notforprofit organisations and you will have lots of responsibility but also offered an excellent work life balance too.

This is a mixed audit and accounts opportunity and the split between both audit and accounts can be moulded around the individual. I.e. between 2550 audit

You will work together with the wider team in a handson position leading in a methodical manner in order to meet the needs of the clients and complete the audit fully before manager and partner review. You should be able to delegate out required tasks to the team comfortably and offer support and guidance where necessary resolving technical questions that may arise.

  • Work closely with audit managers to support engagements from planning to completion for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts as well as reviewing accounts prepared by junior staff.
  • Preparation of corporation tax computations (training can be provided if needed).
  • Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships being the goto for support.
  • Deliver a strong commercial awareness reviewing opportunities for fee development.
  • Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance.
  • Champion your own professional development undertaking training opportunities.
  • Support junior team members by knowledge sharing and supporting their.

Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA fully qualified
  • 3 years of practical accounts/ audit experience
  • Be an approachable and hands on leader
  • Competent planning and completion skills
  • Be up to date with technical knowledge including any recent changes
  • Computer literate good excel word and accounting software experience
