The ideal candidate will be detailfocused highly organised and confident managing a varied workload across a diverse portfolio of clients. This is a handson role supporting the Accountants and wider team with highquality bookkeeping and management accounts services.
Perform daytoday bookkeeping for a varied client base including data entry and bank reconciliations
Prepare review and file VAT returns including experience with different VAT schemes (e.g. margin schemes)
Assist with Government Gateway registrations
Monitor and prepare monthly CIS returns
Prepare Management Accounts for clients in a timely and accurate manner
Review client bookkeeping and software use offering improvements and corrections where necessary
Collaborate closely with the internal team to meet deadlines and uphold client service standards
Support the team with additional duties as required by management
Proven experience in a bookkeeping or similar accounting role ideally within practice (but not essential)
Strong working knowledge of Xero Sage Dext and ideally QuickBooks
Good understanding of VAT rules and schemes including margin VAT
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
Organised and efficient able to manage multiple tasks and priorities across different clients
AAT Level 4 or equivalent qualification is preferred although QBE (Qualified by Experience) candidates will also be considered
