Adult Protective Services (APS) is excited to have Social Service Specialist 3 intraining opportunities for professionals with investigative skills to join our team as Investigative Social Service Specialists. We have multiple opportunities permanent and nonpermanent in various locations in Western Washington including Everett Federal Way Mount Vernon Seattle and Renton.
King County employees receive 5 premium pay in addition to the advertised salary and are eligible to receive a free ORCA card for transportation use.
Opportunities in this job classification that perform unannounced visits in unregulated environments such as private residences to conduct investigations for allegations of abuse and/or neglect of vulnerable adultindividuals may be eligible for an additional 10 assignment pay in addition to the advertised salary.
We need your critical thinking and problemsolving skills to independently investigate reports of abandonment abuse exploitation neglect and selfneglect of vulnerable adults. Your success will be measured by your ability to gather evidence conduct timely and thorough investigations and assist people with services that maintain their safety and dignity. Prior to a new hire a background check including criminal record history may be conducted.
