Amazon Retail Salesforce team is looking for a motivated Software Engineer. Our team builds and maintains a scalable and efficient platform that provides capabilities for recruitment and account management services worldwide for Amazon Vendors. This is a high visibility project building new integrations between NAWS tooling and our Salesforce Integration Layer ensuring we make the right tradeoffs to move quickly while maintaining a high bar for customers. You will build highly secured scalable extendable and performant solutions. Working closely with product and tech teams you will design build test iterate and deploy new features system integrations and enhancements to existing features. This position will include working end to end on our services and provides opportunities to grow as a full stack software developer on a team that is constantly looking to improve and optimize our capabilities for our customers.
Key job responsibilities As a software development engineer on this team you will play a pivotal role in shaping the definition vision design roadmap and development of product features from beginning to end. You will: Work with the team to help solve business problems. Design implement test deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance durability cost and security. Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team deliverables. Write high quality distributed system software. Work in an agile startuplike development environment where you are always working on the most important stuff.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience 2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience programming with at least one software programming language 3 years of big data technologies such as AWS Hadoop Spark Pig Hive Lucene/SOLR or Storm/Samza experience
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
