The Opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy as a Technical Training and Development Specialist and become a key player in our rapidly growing Service division. Youll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing operational efficiency and lifecycle management. In this role youll leverage your expertise to prepare and deliver technical training ensuring our Canadian Service team operates safely and efficiently. This is your chance to make a significant impact by supporting various groups including Proposals Project Management Engineering and Field Service with your knowledge of transformer field service installation and maintenance.

How Youll Make an Impact

  • Provide solutions to technical inquiries from Operations and the Quotation team.

  • Act as the subject matter expert for field repair and oil processing activities.

  • Offer technical support to field crews.

  • Coach and guide less experienced colleagues.

  • Develop structured onthejob training materials.

  • Present and provide training for field technicians.

  • Develop and document field processes and procedures.

  • Travel to sites to audit established work procedures and assess training progress.

Your Background

  • Bachelors degree in engineering with 5 years of experience or a combination of studies and 10 years of transformer and oil processing experience.

  • Knowledge of industry standards (IEEE IEC NEMA).

  • Experience in repairing medium and large power oilfilled transformers from multiple OEMs.

  • Familiarity with transformer ancillary devices and LTC operation and maintenance procedures.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and AutoCAD.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative solutionsoriented approach.
