SUMMARY: The expectation of this position is to lead and direct a team to achieve the pedigree farm objectives. The essential functions of this position include: achieve production objectives; achieve compliance regulations and objectives; have and develop qualified and effective team members; develop good employee relations; compile and analyze flock production system data; operate within operational and capital budget guidelines; assure infrastructure is effectively maintained. Lead a team through all genomic blood pulls health bleeds and all other biotech requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education/ Experience: College degree or equivalent experience with limited experience.
Accountability Role: Entrylevel professional position responsible for supervising an individual or small group of nonexempt TMs i.e. clerical administrative and production ; includes providing training monitoring work quality coaching TMs on performance; responsible for the quality of results produced by the team. Can work independently with the ability to evaluate alternatives under circumstances that are not covered by written procedures.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in data collection and management through Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
Supervisory: Will supervise a team of hourly position including leads.
Travel: Minimal domestic trips.
Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing the duties of this job the Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to touch handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment Required: When visiting facilities Team Member is expected to follow the required safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment.
Biosecurity: The jobsite is a biosecurity environment which requires showering before entering the facility and could require multiple showers during the work day. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species chickens ducks birds. The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times.
