Responsibilities
Graduate Assistant for Orientation and First Year Experience Mentorship of four undergraduate student Orientation Coordinators Facilitate biweekly meetings with student coordinators Conduct meetings with campus partners as needed Assist with contract review risk management assessment event and facility scheduling and financial procedures Assist with the development and implementation of early transition and firstyear programs including: Early Arrival programs first six weeks programming series Future Leaders and First Year Experience Peer Advisor programming Serve as the direct contact for student and family questions regarding each early transition and firstyear program In collaboration with the Associate Director and Program Coordinator plan and implement all aspects of New Student Transfer and Family Orientation including recruiting selecting hiring and training 130 Orientation Leaders In collaboration with the Associate Director and Program Coordinator plan and implement Spring Orientation for new students and families including the training of Spring Orientation Leaders Administer collect and review assessment data from Spring Orientation Fall Orientation Orientation Leaders and various programming to create summaries of findings Maintain detailed virtual files and records Manage and create Canvas course for undergraduate Fall and Spring orientation students Assist with other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Fully knowledgeable about the job; be able to handle responsibilities independently and effectively. Possess undergraduate degree in similar and/or related field. Ability to work inperson for up to 25 hours in the summer starting June 2025 and 19 hours during the semester.
