LMUs Journalism major has grown rapidly to become one of the most popular in LMUs liberal arts college. The programs curriculum offers lowerdivision courses in reporting writing and ethics and upperdivision courses in investigative reporting visual journalism audio journalism arts and culture reporting representation in journalism and many other subjects. The Journalism Department is committed to providing students with integrative pedagogies as well as training in the skills that will graduate students ready to work in professional journalism.
Experience in professional journalism is required. The teaching load is three courses per semester including required introductory journalism classes for majors/minors and upper division electives.
