The Site Quality Manger is responsible for Defining Improving and Maintaining Badger Meters quality systems and providing technical direction ensuring the effective coordination and of projects as they relate to the quality of our processes services and products.
This role is critical in supporting all Safety Quality Delivery Cost Environmental Continuous Improvement initiatives and metrics. This includes the ability to work with internal and external customers to support Badger Meters corporate values and goals.
Job Duties:
Establish and foster key relationships throughout the organization enabling effective performance to execute on commitments and deliver results while driving critical issues simultaneously.
Maintain a safe working environment (within the department and across the sites).
Lead Internal Audit Program: recruit and training cross functional auditors schedule audits and plan learning activates with auditors and auditees.
Lead and maintain Site Calibration Program: ensure the onetime calibration of measurement equipment and systems. When required determine adequacy of equipment with statistical analysis (GR&R & MSA).
Participate in the Badger Meter performance management process including the evaluation of employee performance and the recommendation of merit increases.
Lead NCMR/CAR/CAPA programs: provide timely disposition of nonconformances and properly identifying containment root cause corrective/preventive actions verification activities and follow up to assess effectiveness.
Support New Product Development (NPD) teams to identify schedule and execute all quality related deliverables.
Support SQDCE metric development and collaborate cross functionally within a multisite environment.
Identify opportunities for the improvement of quality procedures product designs manufacturing processes and equipment. Continually drive to improve product uniformity while eliminating/minimizing nonconformances.
Support the creation review and improvement of Badger Meter quality acceptance standards (QAS). Identify key industry standards and leverage them to drive uniformity within Badger Meter practices.
Identify opportunities for the improvement of quality procedures product designs manufacturing processes and equipment. Continually drive to improve product uniformity while eliminating/minimizing nonconformances.
Lead training needs with APQP problemsolving root cause analysis process capability measurement system analysis and other data analytic techniques. Preferred problemsolving techniques; 8Step 8D and/or A3.
Mentor site quality teams to develop skills and expand capabilities.
Maintain professional level and technical skills through memberships in technical and professional societies and by attending appropriate courses and seminars.
Up to 25 travel required
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Quality Engineering or a related field required
7 years of experience desired; significant experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree
Qualifications:
Lean Six Sigma practitioner Black Belt certification preferred
Proficiency with MS Office and related products (Word Excel PowerPoint and Visio) required
Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) required
Proficiency with Statistical Process Techniques Failure Analysis and Process Validation required
Advanced data analytic techniques utilizing Excel MiniTab MicroStrategy PowerBI SQL
Knowledge in Quality Systems (ISO 9001 ISO 17025 AS9100 required
Strong Project Management Skills certification preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills required
Fluent in English additional languages like Spanish an advantage
Strong problem solving skills preferred techniques; 8Step 8D and/or A3
Strong interpersonal and leadership capability with the ability to shape and drive change
Ability to work with teams and independently
Ability to work effectively onsite and with remote locations
Ability to multitask and drive critical issues simultaneously

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a manufacturing/office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment
Depending on the assigned department must complete an audiogram test
