The Software Engineer is responsible for analyzing maintaining and developing business systems for both new and existing systems used to support Havas Edge business objectives and goals. Your time will be spent working on maintenance tasks as well as new development projects that are delivered by the ERP Systems team.You will work alongside other engineers and developers and will report to the Software Engineering Manager.
Technology includes C# Blazor MSSQL / TSQL .NET Framework 4.X .NET Remoting SSIS MS Unit testing.
Development Tools: Visual Studio 2019 DevExpress controls Active Reports (GrapeCity)
Job Functions and Duties:
Analyze maintain and develop business systems; including migrating new and existing related systems used to support business goals
Contribute to the creation of scalable and highly available internal business applications
Design and develop highvolume highperformance highavailability concurrent applications using proven Microsoft Frameworks and technologies
Effectively communicate within and outside the team
Bring new technical ideas in keeping with the latest industry trends to fruition by prototyping and then incorporating into the Platform
Participate in all required meetings standups and planning
Position Requirements:
Minimum 34 years experience working with C# / .NET 4.X and SQL Server
You are experienced and knowledgeable in all phases of the software development cycle: requirements analysis functional design technical design implementation documentation software QA maintenance and support
You can write clean simple efficient modular maintainable and welldocumented code that meets the requirements and the design of the solution
You have a solid understanding of objectoriented programming
You have a desire to contribute to an agile team that solves complex challenges and builds working software by participating in design and architectural discussions proposing and discussing solutions to systems and product changes that are directly related to the area of focus
You can work collaboratively with QA professionals to encourage defect prevention over detection
You can manage multiple projects simultaneously and have a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects efficiently and on time
You work well under pressure while maintaining accuracy strict confidentiality and a professional demeanor
You are approachable and can interact with people at all levels of the organization (internal and external stakeholders) and fostering strong crossfunctional teamwork with other analysts and developers
You have strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
You are selfmotivated and selfaware; inquisitive proactive & strong initiative
You have a high level of attention to detail and organization
Intermediate knowledge around the following:
- MSSQL / TSQL
- WinForms (Windows Applications)
- Visual Studio 2019
- Team Foundation Server / GIT
- Internet Information Services
- Agile / Scrum Kanban
Preferred Education Experience and Skills:
Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or related field of study
Experience with Web and Digital marketing data
You have working knowledge and an understanding of the media/digital media industry
Knowledge and experience of the following preferred:
DevExpress controls
Blazor
.NET Remoting SSIS ETL is huge plus
Java
DBA experience or knowledge of 3rd party controls
Cloud Computing (AWS / Azure)
Athena S3 Hadoop and/or other big data technologies
RESTful APIs
Power BI Embedded
