A Practice Accountant is needed to join Torevell Dent a wellestablished and highly respected accountancy firm based in Halifax West Yorkshire. Whether youre fully qualified partqualified or have strong handson experience from a practice environment this is a brilliant opportunity to step into a longterm role with great variety support and stability.

As an Accountant in this small but busy practice youll take responsibility for a broad portfolio of SME clients. Depending on your experience youll be given autonomy to handle everything from accounts prep and tax returns to building direct client relationships and contributing to audit work (if relevant).
What youll be doing:
- Preparing yearend statutory accounts and management accounts
- Handling VAT returns corporation tax and personal tax computations
- Supporting clients directly answering queries offering advice and building rapport
- Contributing to audit assignments if experienced/interested
- Reviewing junior team members work and providing guidance (depending on level)
- Managing your own workflow and deadlines independently
What were looking for:
You might be an experienced Semi Senior Accountant a developing Accounts Assistant ready for a step up or a steady Senior Accountant looking for a more personal working environment. Either way you should bring:
- At least 5 years experience working in a UK accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and tax
- Audit experience beneficial but not essential
- Partqualified fully qualified or qualified by experience all welcome
- A confident personable manner and a positive proactive approach
- Great time management and attention to detail
- Familiarity with accountancy software such as QuickBooks Sage or CCH
- Driving Licence (for client meetings etc.
