Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a conscientious thorough and detailoriented Procurement Clerk who is ready to take initiative on multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment. This job requires producing high quality detailed work and demands fast but carefully thoughtout results. Deep knowledge and expertise are required to understand and process detailed information. The job centers around developing new ideas and also following existing processes. A high level of expertise is expected and the ability to spot and correct errors is important. Work must be done right and quickly while always focusing on accomplishing the goal and demanding the highest quality work.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Create and issue purchase orders for raw materials components and consumable supplies to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize back orders. Manage supplier delivery performance to minimize production impacts.

Manage order quantities to optimize ordering cost inventory turns and volume discounts.

Communicate with suppliers to monitor status of orders and coordinate expedites to support production plan.

Responsible for maintaining the inventory cycle count program. Provide inventory and operational reporting daily weekly and monthly (as required).

Partner with the leadership team to determine cost savings opportunities.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

Associates degree in supply chain business or 2 equivalent years of experience. 1 or more years experience purchasing in a production environment.

Experience with MRP or ERP systems (JobBOSS preferred)

Ability to influence and collaborate with all levels of the organization.

Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally in writing in person and by phone.

Proficient skill with Computer Microsoft applications (Word Excel and Outlook).

Selfstarter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities.

About the Position:

Salary: Commensurate with experience

FullTime MondayFriday
