Job Summary
Teach MUS 305G Music in World Cultures a 4credit Music course that meets a general education requirement. At Bethel we offer classes that are 1 2 or 4 credits. Adjunct load will vary based on capabilities of the Adjunct Professor and needs of the department. We pay $1250 per credit hour for inperson courses.
Responsibilities
Teach MUS 305G Music in World Cultures an introductory study of cultural traditions belief systems and practices of world cultures through the study and analysis of the music of ethnic groups.
Draw up a syllabus and maintain a course Moodle page.
Teach the class in person grade assignments and tests and support students as needed to promote their learning.
Skills
Ability and interest in teaching undergraduate students.
Ability to explain complex musical and cultural concepts.
Experience
Previous college teaching experience preferred.
Education
Masters degree in Music or related field required; PhD preferred.
