The Principal Architect Solution Engineering and Automation will be responsible for the business solution designs that includes working at the business unit level developing the most advanced endtoend solution architecture for highly complex and significant initiatives in partnership with key business and IT stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide technology leadership solution oversight and guidance to ensure that the solution adheres to PSS Architecture Guiding Principles and standards while maximizing reuse of technology assets.
In depth experience in performing Buy vs Build analysis based on the qualitative and quantitative analysis across the available options to provide a final recommendation based on the rationale
Play a key leadership role in architecture design reviews and identify gaps and recommend design changes.
Actively lead and participate in the Architecture community to drive modernization opportunities for the advancement of PBM technology while keeping in mind the complexities of our IT landscape
Develop Reference architecture and implementation. Providing leadership coaching and guidance to App Dev Technology Services and Solutions and EA to develop/assemble PBMapplicable reference architectures for cloudnative applications to be applied to PBM apps targeted for refactor and optimization.
Lead and drive proofsofconcept and technology deepdives specific to partner technologies
Advise and assist App development teams with technical roadblocks such as performance challenges within a solution in key strategic initiatives
Required Qualifications
Technical skills in the following areas: Application and Integration Architecture Domain Driven Design Security and Automation along with a working knowledge of IT operations
In depth understanding of APIs and microservicesbased architecture
Experience working with technologies that work as glue between modern apps and legacy infrastructure leveraging streaming platforms like Apache Kafka
10 years in overall design/development experience
In Depth cloud platform skills and 5 years of handon experience with major public cloud platform including GCP AZURE and AWS
2 years in handson AI/ML (including GenAI) experience and handson expertise with automating processes
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in enterprise development tools and methodologies (XP Agile) including DevSecOps and DataOps
Understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database technologies
Experience integrating with legacy mainframe/midrange AS400 applications including developing roadmaps for modernization of the applications
3 years hands on experience in implementing RPA (Robotic Process Automation) solutions using platforms such as UiPath and Automation Anywhere
Health Care Industry domain knowledge
Education
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field required
Master Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$144200.00 $288400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual fulltime salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience education geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus commission or shortterm incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the companys equity award program.
