Job Summary:
The Title I Teacher provides targeted instruction and interventions in reading and/or math to eligible elementary students who need additional academic support. This role is funded through federal Title I funding and focuses on helping students meet gradelevel standards. The teacher works closely with classroom teachers support staff and parents to ensure academic progress.
Provide small group or individualized instruction in reading and/or mathematics aligned with state standards and district curriculum.
Use assessment data to identify eligible students and tailor interventions to meet their needs.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate intervention strategies within the regular education program.
Monitor and document student progress regularly and adjust instruction accordingly.
Participate in Title I program planning evaluation and compliance activities.
Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and ways to support learning at home.
Maintain accurate and uptodate student records for Title I compliance.
Attend professional development and staff meetings as required.
Assist in preparing reports and documentation required for federal Title I funding.
Bachelors degree in Education or related field (Masters degree preferred)
Valid NE state teaching certification with appropriate endorsements (e.g. Reading Specialist or Elementary Education)
Previous teaching experience particularly in reading/math intervention or Title I programs preferred
Knowledge of effective instructional strategies and interventions
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse learners and collaborate with staff and families
