About the role

Were looking for inspiring leaders to help shape the future of social housing in Cornwall. As a Regional Housing Manager youll provide senior leadership across a locality supporting the delivery of highquality customerfocused tenancy and neighbourhood services that make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Working closely with your team youll build strong communities by listening and responding to the needs of our tenants helping them to sustain their tenancies and feel proud of the places they call home.

Youll lead a multidisciplinary team of housing management roles including a Neighbourhood Housing Manager Housing Officers and specialist roles delivering community safety and tenancy sustainment. Youll provide the link in our localities to repairs making sure we bring people and property together to work collaboratively and provide high quality services focussed on placebased activities. This role will also take responsibility to lead one of our Cornwallwide services whether this is housing for older people or centralised housing management services and to provide strategic leadership for a key policy area. Youll need to bring your expertise to help drive service transformation performance improvement and innovation across the wider organisation.

Our NorthEast area covers from central towns of Bodmin to the seaside at Bude from Launceston and over to picturesque Padstow Camelford and Wadebridge. Our SouthEast area is from central towns of Liskeard to Torpoint/Saltash overlooking the Tamar and across our beautiful coastline from Rame Head to Looe and St Austell.

About you

To be successful youll have:

  • Proven experience of leading motivating and coaching multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality customerfacing services.
  • Evidence of applying technical skills; either landlord and tenant law housing legislation antisocial behaviour or equivalent in a similar service with the ability to solve a problem and find creative solutions to complex issues.
  • A willingness to be a visible leader and positive role model showing resilience and remaining calm under pressure to make good decisions.
  • Experience of partnership working with internal and external agencies of obtaining successful outcomes from multiagency meetings and of strategic multiagency activity within housing or similar related field.
  • Ability to manage escalations and complaints in housing or similar service environment turning difficult conversations around to build positive and trusted customer relationships.
  • A passion for resident engagement developing community action plans and/or strategic activities within housing or similar related field.
  • A drive for making an impact for service improvement and experience of leading projects to deliver lasting change.

Salary:52994 per year
