Mechanical Assembly Technician
Salary:Competitive
Location:Hailsham
Hours:MondayFriday Full Time

This is an exciting opportunity to join a market leader in manufacturing. Based near Hailsham youll be part of a skilled manufacturing team assembling precisionengineered hightech systems used in advanced scientific applications. This is a handson technical role that suits a detailoriented engineer with strong assembly skills and a passion for working on cuttingedge components.

Mechanical Assembly Technician Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components to build complex UHV systems in line with detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Carry out specialist UHVcompatible wiring and electrical testing procedures.
  • Maintain strict cleanliness standards in line with UHV cleanroom procedures.
  • Record pretest data and perform QC evaluations throughout the assembly process.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by writing and updating manufacturing guides and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate departmental records including test data serial numbers and quality control logs for traceability.

Mechanical Assembly Technician Requirements:

  • Prior experience to assembly Mechanical and/or Electrical
  • Resilient under pressure with strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Comfortable working to tight production schedules and deadlines.
  • Basic IT skills (MS Office).
  • Self motivated organised and punctual

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Mechanical Engineering or higher (HNC/HND/Degree preferred).
  • Timeserved apprenticeship or equivalent handson experience considered.
  • Previous experience in a hightech cleanroom or engineering environment is advantageous.
