Mechanical Assembly Technician
Salary:Competitive

Hours:MondayFriday Full Time

This is an exciting opportunity to join a market leader in manufacturing. Based near Hailsham youll be part of a skilled manufacturing team assembling precisionengineered hightech systems used in advanced scientific applications. This is a handson technical role that suits a detailoriented engineer with strong assembly skills and a passion for working on cuttingedge components.

Mechanical Assembly Technician Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components to build complex UHV systems in line with detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
- Carry out specialist UHVcompatible wiring and electrical testing procedures.
- Maintain strict cleanliness standards in line with UHV cleanroom procedures.
- Record pretest data and perform QC evaluations throughout the assembly process.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by writing and updating manufacturing guides and documentation.
- Maintain accurate departmental records including test data serial numbers and quality control logs for traceability.
Mechanical Assembly Technician Requirements:
- Prior experience to assembly Mechanical and/or Electrical
- Resilient under pressure with strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Comfortable working to tight production schedules and deadlines.
- Basic IT skills (MS Office).
- Self motivated organised and punctual
Qualifications:
- Level 3 Mechanical Engineering or higher (HNC/HND/Degree preferred).
- Timeserved apprenticeship or equivalent handson experience considered.
- Previous experience in a hightech cleanroom or engineering environment is advantageous.
