The QA Lead Medical Technologist Hematology is responsible for the technical and regulatory oversight of the hematology and coagulation sections of the clinical laboratory. This includes instrument maintenance calibration validation quality control procedure updates and staff training to ensure compliance with CAP and CLIA standards. In addition to hematology leadership duties this position functions as a generalist performing and reporting clinical laboratory tests across all departments using a variety of automated semiautomated and manual technologies. The position is primarily day shift with rotation every fourth weekend 12hour shifts) and occasional coverage of other shifts as needed.
