About the Opportunity
The Doctor of Medical Sciences (DMSc) Program Manager will play a key role in DMSc operations and administration and also lead DMSc student advising outreach and support for students in the program. The Program Manager will oversee the DMSc admissions process including enrollment outreach and recruitment and work with the Northeastern University Enrollment Management team and DMSc program leadership to facilitate the continued growth of the DMSc program. This position will work with the DMSc program director and faculty team to assist students in identifying Capstone advisers and opportunities. The Program Manager will also lead DMSc Program data management and website updating. This includes maintaining student data and working with the DMSc program director and faculty team and Bouv leadership for continuous selfstudy and analysis of program outcomes. The Program Manager will work with the DMSc program director to develop teaching schedules and to coordinate teaching needs across DMSc partner programs across the university.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include:
Lead operations review processing and new student onboarding for Slate programs
Coordinate with Enrollment Management teams and with Bouv enrollment team
Manage DMSc admissions with members of the admissions Committee
Manage notification of admissions decisions to applicants
Lead outreach to newlyadmitted students to support enrollment growth
Advising students in DMSc program
Provide Overrides and student registration support including overrides for students in various concentrations associated with other degree programs represented in the multiple tracks available to DMSc students (School of Law School of Business Health informatics etc.
Develop DMSc Master Schedule and facilitate TA and adjunct faculty outreach for online DMSc courses
Provide faculty support including adjunct faculty support
Coordinate DMSc Committees
Ensure that DMSc websites are uptodate and continue to refine website content to support DMSc program growth
Ensure that DMSc Program Caf in Canvas is uptodate and continue to refine content to support students
Manage DMSc brand content to integrate outcomes data and other information to demonstrate the value of the DMSc degree
Manage data collection and reporting strategies related to program evaluation and self study.
Maintain current student data degree audits alumni database and manage efforts to gather data on alumni outcomes
Support DMSc program leadership in external communications including social media content and monthly enewsletter
Qualifications
Mature experienced professional capable of independently leading program development management and diverse educational support functions. Bachelors degree is required. A minimum of two years of experience in a Higher Education setting preferably in health related graduate education is strongly preferred. Experience managing programs preferably within an academic or healthcare setting preferred. Ability to form partnerships to advance DMSc goals also preferred.
Demonstrated skills in evaluation methodologies including database management (e.g. Excel Qualtrics) required.
Experience in student undergraduate or graduate health education recruitment admissions course guidance community placement development and capstone completion preferred.
Excellent organizational skills evidence of success working in a team environment and proven capacity to learn new curricular and program development strategies including online education approaches.
Applicants must possess a high degree of selfmotivation and have demonstrated ability to lead and follow through with projects.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal are required. Applicants must have ability to relate well with all levels of the community and people of diverse ethnic and international backgrounds. They must be able to multitask work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team assume initiative with program related activities and handle confidential information. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills as well as experience working with CRM systems MSOffice (Word Excel and Powerpoint) various email programs and Adobe Acrobat preferred.
