Reporting to the EVP of Visual Effect the coordinator is an excellent entrylevel opportunity to Sony Pictures EntertainmentsVisual EffectsDepartment. Looking for a candidate who is familiar with internal studio landscape.
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Managing the department calendar including assisting with scheduling Executives and preparing for meetings.
- Coordinate crew travel on production
- Assist with deal memos for key VFX crew members
- Coordinate inquiries and needs from other departments (i.e. Marketing Legal Clearances Home Entertainment etc.
- Create and maintain an official VFX databases to help track VFX personnel availabilities/contact info/credits
- Facilitate crew needs for badges. Office space on the lot
- Attend VFX reviews and help with notes followup etc.
- Research new VFX vendors personnel and technologies including previz
- Manages shared documents within the greater team.
- Departmental Finance support: Create process and track vendor POs and invoices.
- Complete invoices and legal documents.
- Prepare submit and follow up on vendor contract paperwork
- Spearheading Prep and Wrap of VFX Teams on Projects.
- Keeping Track of VFX Crew for staffing.
- Assisting Productions on all needs.
Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years of administrative experience
- Knowledge of VFX is preferred.
- Production experience is a plus.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word Excel Outlook Filemaker Pro).
- Exceptional organizational skills attention to detail and follow through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative worker able to align closely with several different internal teams.
- Ability to act autonomously.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize to ensure that all assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $48481 $63025. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors including without limitation the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position years of relevant experience level of education attained certifications or other professional licenses held and if applicable the location of the position.
