Portland OR NE Columbia Retail shop Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
Directly supervises two or more employees in the daytoday operations of the retail store including compliance retail sales warehousing and distribution. Supports both the scheduling and performance management efforts for retail store personnel.
Recruits retains and develops the necessary team within your region to ensure your team and region succeed in achieving results.
Creates a safe work environment by contributing to zero preventable accidents and by continuous compliance with company safety rules standard operating procedures and governmental regulations required for the position.
Interprets job orders to drivers and assigns duties; Assigns deliveries to drivers according to customer needs current delivery schedule and availability of supplies.
Works closely with Branch Manager ABOM and partnering Plant to make sure delivery schedules are efficient and meeting the needs of the customer.
Participates in the of marketing plans to support the penetration of key market segments in collaboration with our Sales and Operations teams and outside vendors. Assists with sales promotional activities merchandising and displays.
Collaborates with outside sales to ensure order accuracy and properly scheduled customer deliveries.
Assists with managing the branch inventory daily inventory cycle counts and maintains showroom and warehouse appearance.
Assists with managing all hard goods receiving and all dynamic deployment (hard goods interbranch orders) daily.
Helps monitor SAP reports daily such as open order/delivery reports billing and delivery block reports and open Purchase Order (PO) reports.
Responsible for Daily Cash Reconciliation (DCR). Ensures daily completion and that all errors are addressed and bank deposits are initiated.
Works with our hardware vendors to schedule and hold monthly vendor product training sessions.
Assists with associate training in procedural areas such as following all Airgas Operating Standards and safety regulations.
Works in partnership with corporate accounts receivable to manage branch credits and collections.
May cover partnering branches when staffing is short or unforeseen circumstances occur.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this position successfully an individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily. Required Education:
High school degree or the equivalent preferred with one to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Length and Type of Experience:
Prefer one to three years of experience in an industrial retail inside sales customer service and/or inventory control related position; or equivalent years of experience and successful completion of Airgas Branch Management Trainee program.
SAP or similar software system experience. Intermediate skills operating a computer in a Google Platform environment is recommended.
One year of prior supervisory and/or demonstrated leadership experience.
Basic product knowledge of welding safety gases and supplies.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Excellent oral and written communication skills; well organized; creative problem solving; strong service orientation; strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to excel in a deadline oriented environment and demonstrate a high level of competence in organizing and prioritizing multiple work assignments. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
