Position Details
Charlotte Country Day School seeks a longterm leave replacement Upper School English Teacher for the start of theschool year. This teacher will be responsible for collaboratively designing curriculum teaching English and creating a dynamic learning environment for students. We are interested in candidates who are excited to work with and support highschool aged students have experience with multilevel and differentiated instruction and demonstrate a commitment to studentcentered learning.
Essential Responsibilities include:
- Teaching a course load of three sections of English (various levels) in the Upper School in a leave replacement capacity.
- Collaborating with teachers and colleagues in the development evaluation and revision of Upper School English curriculum materials and programs.
- Attending meetings to maintain professional practice.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelors degree or postgraduate work in English Education or a related subject area.
- Teaching Experience
- Experience teaching English preferably to highschool students.
- Advanced Placement / International Baccalaureate (AP/IB) experience is a plus.
- Communication Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Instructional Technology
- Understanding of instructional technology.
