JOB SUMMARY:

The CTE Development Coordinators role focuses on growing the Districts CTE program through strategic industry partnerships project management innovative program development educational initiatives and student onboarding into workbased learning opportunities. This dynamic position manages multiple student and industry partner projects in conjunction with our comprehensive high schools builds strong community relationships and enhances both educational and client experiences as needed for the growth of the Districts educational model.

The CTE Business Development Coordinator reports to the CTE Director.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


All positions require selected candidates to be fingerprinted and successfully pass a criminal background check. Additional minimum required qualifications for this position are:

  1. Masters degree in Education or related field
  2. A current valid Professional Utah Administrative/Supervisory License or a valid outofstate Administrative/Supervisory license that is transferrable to Utah.
  3. Three years leadership or supervisory experience.
  4. Intermediate experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Access etc. and experience using project management tools.
  5. Professional communication skills including but not limited to: excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; confident articulate and professional speaking abilities; and empathic listening and persuasive speaking skills.
  6. Valid Utah Drivers License evidence of insurance and access to reliable transportation and ability to travel to different district locations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Ability to provide positive and inspirational leadership/guidance and a collaborative mindset to learning community stakeholders
  2. Masters degree in Business Administration or related field
  3. Experience working in CTE with related licensure and endorsement
  4. Have an ESL endorsement or will obtain one within 4 years of hire with the district
  5. Experience with project management for large scale multi department projects including oversight of budget and resource allocations
  6. Experience supervising and evaluating the conduct/performance of assigned personnel
  7. Ability to implement policies procedures and/or processes for providing direction and/or complying with mandated requirements
  8. Knowledgeable of culturally competent strategies and culturally responsive professional communication/engagement strategies with all members of the school community
  9. Knowledge of and leadership on behalf of: effective English Language Learners teaching practices
  10. Knowledge of school budget management in alignment with school needs following district budget procurement and accounting policies and procedures with integrity and ethics
  11. Experience with development/implementation of a schoolwide behavior management plans
  12. Knowledge in student leadership development deployment and supervision of student activities with consideration of academic and social growth
  13. Ability to be flexible and adaptable with changing priorities and needs of the school students parents district and other stakeholders
  14. Speaks reads writes and understands Spanish

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Actively seeks and establishes partnerships with community organizations businesses educational institutions and medical facilities to give students realworld project opportunities
  2. Develops and maintains relationships with industry partners creating opportunities for practical student experiences in industry and educational settings
  3. Negotiates and manages contracts with externship partners ensuring compliance and maximizing opportunities and benefits for students
  4. Support and assist the CTE Director in all matters pertaining to the CTE Department
  5. Oversee project management for all realworld student projects including internship externship and apprenticeship programs ensuring timely and successful
  6. Coordinating crossfunctional teams managing project timelines and overseeing budget allocations
  7. Participate in meetings (e.g. workshops staff meetings seminars etc. to convey and gather information required to perform essential functions
  8. Prepare written materials and reports as needed to document activities and convey information
  9. Collaborate with educational experts to develop and refine high school and concurrent enrollment courses including those with practical externship components
  10. Oversee and coordinate concurrent enrollment processes for students including maintenance of records and support for students and faculty as needed
  11. Incorporate and advise on innovative teaching methods and materials to enhance learning experiences for students
  12. Planning organizing and executing various events including workshops seminars networking and student commitment/signing events
  13. Organizing and facilitating educational field trips including visits to medical facilities construction sites local businesses industry partners educational opportunities and competitions to complement course content and provide realworld exposure for students
  14. Coordinate with external venues ensuring all safety educational and compliance objectives are met
  15. Develop and implement professional development programs for teachers focusing on current educational trends teaching methodologies and industryspecific skills
  16. Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance the teaching skills and knowledge of faculty members
  17. Oversee and facilitate advisory boards including faculty and industry partners for the purpose of maintaining relevance and ensuring program responsiveness to industry needs and trends
  18. Organize and facilitate student boot camps aimed at skill development orientation and preparation for specific courses or projects
  19. Conduct onboarding sessions for new students providing them with essential information resources and support to ensure success in completing realworld projects
  20. Develop and update comprehensive client onboarding materials for students and partner organizations based on feedback and evolving project requirements
  21. Assist other personnel as may be required and perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective function of the work unit
  22. Maintain regular and predictable attendance to fulfill job requirements efficiently and effectively
  23. Maintain professional workplace etiquette and represent the department/district in a professional manner; maintain confidentiality; observe FERPA and other student privacy laws.
  24. Work with limited supervision; ability to work effectively under constant deadlines and time constraints; manage multiple tasks and responsibilities and prioritize accordingly.
  25. Drive to school locations and other jobrelated sites.
  26. Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective operations of Teaching and Learning.

  1. Risks found in the typical work environment which is adequately lighted heated and ventilated e.g. safe use of office equipment avoiding trips and falls observing fire regulations.
  2. Driving to work locations.
  3. Typically the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work: however there may be some walking standing bending carrying light items etc
