CTE Teacher Construction Technology
Primary Purpose:
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual emotional physical and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Qualification Guidelines:
Education/Certifications/Experience:
Bachelors degree from accredited university
Valid Texas Teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned in one of the following:
1. Agriculture Food and Natural Resources: Grades 612
2. Agricultural Science and Technology: Grades 612
3. Any vocational agriculture certificate
4. Mathematics/Physical Science/Engineering: Grades 612
5. Mathematics/Physical Science/Engineering: Grades 812
6. Secondary Industrial Arts: Grades 612
7. Secondary Industrial Technology: Grades 612
8. Technology Education: Grades 612
9. Trade and Industrial Education: Grades 612 (this assignment requires appropriate work approval)
10. Trade and Industrial Education: Grades 812 (this assignment requires appropriate work approval)
11. Trade and Industrial Workforce Training: Grades 612 (this assignment requires appropriate work approval)
12. Vocational Trades and Industry (this assignment requires appropriate work approval)
Letter of Acceptance from Educator Prep Program and ability to obtain Intern Certification within one year for subject and level assigned
OR
Two or more years of fulltime wageearning experience in the Construction Industry
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Capitalizes students interests to engage students to become independent learners
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of subjects assigned
Uses information about individual student to make learning more meaningful and relevant
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise assigned teacher aide(s)
