Position Summary
The HR Assistant Intern will work under the direct supervision and mentorship of professional staff within the human resources department undertaking a variety of activities and projects of varying levels of professional complexity and assisting with the completion of important projects that will be assigned.
Essential Functions
First pointofcontact for greeting inperson guests as well as incoming phone calls to the HR department.
Assists with various aspects of the hiring process such as candidate inquiries.
Assists the HR team in uploading/entering employee and candidate documents into the human capital management system (HCMS)
Maintains electronic and hard files for current and terminated employees.
Assists the HR team in reviewing and editing employee job descriptions.
Assists the HR team in evaluating and reviewing I9 compliance.
Assists the HR team with validating dependent eligibility for benefits plans.
Assists with preparing various HRrelated reports
Assists with annual service awards and other employee recognition activities.
Performs duties with a strong sense of urgency initiative and ownership.
Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Work Experience
Human Resources Customer Service or Administration experience preferred.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace applicant tracking systems human capital management systems learning management systems and other applications/systems as needed.
Skills
Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish both verbally and in writing is preferred.
