Your Team

As a Specialist Scrum Master on the Retirement Strategies Distribution Platform team you will join a team of change agents who are responsible for coaching teaching and guiding individuals bringing to bear agile principles practices and frameworks to solve sophisticated business problems deploy innovative products services and experiences to delight our customers! You will partner with product owners tech leads designers engineers and delivery will bring excellent problem solving communication and teamwork skills strong business insight an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.

Here is what you can expect on a typical day

  • Collaborate with product owners in understanding needs and defining feature stories tech leads in defining technical design and other team members to understand the system endtoend and deliver robust solutions that bring about business impact

  • Bring an applied understanding of relevant and emerging technologies begin to identify opportunities to provide input to the team and coach others and embed learning and innovation in the daytoday

  • Work on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an indepth evaluation of various factors

  • Ensures the team(s) lives Agile values and principles and follow the processes and practices that they agreedupon to deliver the committed solutions

  • Responsible for promoting and supporting Agile principles by helping everyone understand applied theories practices rules and value

  • True servant leader who serves the team(s) and larger organization

  • Supports those outside the aligned team(s) to understand which of their interactions with the team(s) are effective and which arent; helps everyone change these interactions to improve the value built by the Agile team

  • Supports all aspects of risk management and impediment resolution

  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy and accountability

The Skills & Expertise You Bring

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer or comparable Agile delivery leadership role

  • Removing Impediments: Helping the team identify and resolve obstacles that hinder their progress during sprints.

  • Time Management: Creating timelines for critical project tasks and ensuring that deadlines are met.

  • Leverage diverse ideas experiences thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization

  • Experience with agile development methodologies

  • Knowledge of business concepts tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the companys business

  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an ongoing basis through selfinitiative and tackling challenges

  • Excellent problem solving communication and collaboration skills

Applied experience and/or deep expertise with several of the following:

  • Familiarity and expertise with Agile principles and frameworks including story writing and estimation facilitation and identification and implementation of continuous improvement (CI)

  • Experience working and proficiency in performing the role of Scrum Master including on teams charged with highly complex outcomes

  • Expertise in facilitation and tracking of Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) prioritization backlog refinement and specialty workshops.

  • Proven capabilities in: (i) delivery (ii) reporting and metrics (iii) Agile toolchains (Jira Jira Align Miro etc.

  • Removing Impediments: Helping the team identify and resolve obstacles that hinder their progress during sprints.

  • Time Management: Creating timelines for critical project tasks and ensuring that deadlines are met.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Master certification

  • Experience in serving as a Scrum Master within the financial services industry on multiple teams

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $99700.00 to $148500.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location candidate experience and skills.
