Job Description
Temporary Grounds Maintenance Technician
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain safe work environment.
- Perform grounds care.
- Perform work to prevent premature deterioration of building grounds and equipment.
- Work in cooperation with inhouse departments and approved contractors.
- Perform emergency work when required after hours
- Participate in all safety trainings as directed.
- Perform duties assigned as a member of the grounds care team.
- Perform landscaping chores and cleanup of school grounds
- Assist in providing the necessary safeguards to prevent loss of school property
- Use equipment including but not limited to:
- Vehicles and trailers
- Hand and power tools of the lawn care trade
- Light duty grounds care equipment
- Typical non specialized construction and repair tools
- Other duties as assigned
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. Contract Days: Temporary summer position with hours dictated by the needs of the district.
2. Work hours will be adjusted as needed including nights and weekends. Overtime paid for total weekly hours beyond 40 hours per week.
