Job Description
Welcome to HatboroHorsham School District!
HatboroHorsham High School a dynamic and inclusive learning community is seeking a dedicated and passionate Math Specialist to support and inspire high school students in developing their math skills and reasoning. The Math Specialist will collaborate with teachers and staff to provide targeted instruction academic support and intervention for students to ensure their success on the Pennsylvania Keystone Exams and meet the schools MTSS (MultiTiered System of Supports) goals.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Provide direct math instruction and targeted interventions for students in grades 912.
Develop and implement individualized and group support plans in alignment with MTSS strategies to ensure student progress in math.
Support students in preparing for the PA Keystone Exams through focused skillbuilding activities.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to design and differentiate instruction for students at varying levels of ability.
Analyze student performance data to monitor progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
Foster a positive inclusive and motivating learning environment that promotes critical thinking and problemsolving.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Secondary Education Mathematics or related field.
Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Secondary Education (Grades 712 with a specialization in Mathematics.
Experience with MTSS and supporting diverse learners in math instruction.
Familiarity with the PA Keystone Exams their content and assessment strategies.
Strong ability to communicate mathematical concepts clearly and effectively to students with varying skill levels.
Proven experience with data analysis to drive instructional decisions.
Collaborative team player with a passion for fostering student achievement in math.
